Using Outlook for work? What matters is where your email is hosted. Human Says Inbox connects to Gmail and Google Workspace. Microsoft 365 mailboxes aren’t supported yet.

Your work email might already work

If your company uses Google Workspace and you read that mail in the Outlook app, choose Connect Gmail with your work address. If your company uses Microsoft 365 or Exchange, creating a Google Account with the same work address won’t connect that mailbox to Gmail.

Can work email go to both Outlook and Gmail?

Yes, if your email provider and company allow forwarding. You can forward copies to a separate, free @gmail.com address and keep the originals in Outlook. Owning a custom domain doesn’t automatically enable this.

1. Use an existing Gmail address, or create a free @gmail.com account. This is a separate mailbox; it doesn’t turn your work address into a Gmail address.
2. For a work or school account, check with your administrator that forwarding to your Gmail address is allowed. Microsoft 365 may block external forwarding.
3. In Outlook on the web, open Settings → Mail → Forwarding. If forwarding is unavailable, your administrator may need to configure it.
4. Enable forwarding, enter your Gmail address, and select Keep a copy of forwarded messages if you want mail in both inboxes. Save the changes.
5. Send a test email to your work address and check both inboxes. Replies and read status won’t automatically stay in sync.

Personal Outlook.com addresses can also forward copies using Outlook’s forwarding settings. Adding an Outlook account to the Gmail mobile app doesn’t give Human Says Inbox access to it.
