Connecting Gmail

Google sign-in confirms your account. Human Says Inbox stores your account ID, email address, display name, connection settings and encrypted Google access and refresh tokens. Browser sessions use secure, HTTP-only cookies. Connecting alone does not create a Gmail filter; you activate protection separately.

Operating the email gate

The worker reads new matching held messages, rather than scanning your historical inbox. It stores the sender, subject, up to 24,000 characters of plain-text content per message, and delivery state. It sends fixed verification notices and labels verified messages for inbox delivery. HTML and attachments are not rendered. Verification pages do not display the message’s content.

Permissions and your control

The requested Gmail permissions allow reading, labeling, composing and sending mail, and changing Gmail settings. The application uses them for the gate and its holding filter. The live service does not send email content to an AI model or generate replies. No AI model receives mailbox credentials or permission to send replies. Pause stops new-mail gating; disconnect removes Human Says Inbox’s managed filter, revokes Google access and removes stored tokens. Already-held mail remains in Gmail for manual review.

Invitations and provider interest

We retain the referral code and entry page for account signups and aggregate page events, including interest in Outlook. Invitation links contain an opaque code, not your address or email verification token. No contacts are imported and no invitations are sent automatically. Older early-access requests remain stored until removed.

Retention and deletion

Disconnect removes access credentials; it does not delete your stored account, message history or Gmail messages. To request deletion of retained account data, contact the operator. This beta does not yet run automatic retention cleanup. Cloudflare Turnstile and hosting providers may process connection data. There are no advertising trackers.

Google user data is used only to provide these inbox features. It is not sold, used for advertising or used to train general-purpose AI models. Our use follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
